Yolanda Poplawska

Yolanda's brilliant acrylic paintings show warm cheerfulness marked by bright colors that make the settings in her art come alive. She has been painting since she can remember, and art was always a family activity for her.

"When growing up I was compelled to paint and feel my inner world. Art had been a passionate inner drive,  and when I grew up I still felt that inner joy and optimism through my art. I explore beauty, serenity, shapes and colours. I definitely have fun with my work, showing the beauty and playfulness in all of us."

Yolanda is an illustrator, artist, and graphic designer. Her illustrations and design work have appeared in magazines, picture books, and galleries. The hard cover edition of   "A Halifax ABC " was shortlisted for the 2006 Lillian Shepherd Memorial Award for Excellence in Illustration. Yolanda has illustrated six children's books, and has built a strong following in Canada, the United States, Europe, and more. Her paintings are included in numerous private collections.
